The strength of the Queensland Auxiliary Firefighters Association is, and will always remain, with the membership. The Queensland Auxiliary firefighters Association offers many benefits to its membership. These include:
- involvement in decisions affecting auxiliary policy such as remuneration, uniform, equipment and conditions of employment,
- a state body to monitor, negotiate and report on:
- changes within the organisation,
- safety aspects,
Ordinary membership of the association is available exclusively to auxiliary firefighters serving with the Queensland Fire Service by payment of the annual subscription.
The Queensland Auxiliary Firefighters Association encourages every auxiliary firefighter to become a member. This enables the Association to fully represent the interest of the auxiliary firefighters. The subscriptions finance the substantial costs of operation throughout the state. Without this financial support, it would be impossible for the Association to achieve its objectives. The Association encourages full support and involvement by all members.
